Language: The majority of countries in Latin America speak Spanish, with the large exception of Brazil.
Religion: The highest practiced religion in Latin America is Roman Catholicism which is a direct result of much earlier colonization and imperialism. Protestantism and other forms of Christianity are also prominent throughout Latin America. Many other religions besides these are also practiced. Culture: Latin American countries have maintained many parts their indigenous cultures although now have many Western aspects added. Their foods and many other cultural aspects have spread across the United States as well; The most common here being from Mexico. Government / Economy: Many Latin American countries are democratic whereas Cuba is communist. The economy throughout Latin America is currently not doing so well. Each country in Latin America has their own currency. |
